I'm hoping you can help.
I am using the CENTRAL_UART and PERIPHERAL_UART to evaluate the nRF52840, and using a terminal program works fine.
What I want to do is press a button on the CENTRAL and once received at the PERIPHERAL turn on an LED

RE: Sending data over BT

Ah, so that would be something like the NUS Shell library you'd be looking for then: https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-latest/page/nrf/libraries/shell/shell_bt_nus.html

How to implement the features you'd like is up to you I'm afraid, as we don't have a sample showing specifically these features, but there are various shell samples in Zephyr/NCS.

Best regards,

The principle is the code is written and be able to change parameters over the UART i.e one application may require higher TX power than another etc.

Best Regards

Can you be more specific on what you mean by that you have to implement this on the fly? I think all of these points you mention are covered in our Devacademy courses. nRF Connect SDK fundamentals and Bluetooth Low Energy fundamentals course.

Sorry for the delay but holiday season!

I now have the data being sent - thanks for your help.

There are some other things I need to implement on the fly:-

i) Baud rate

ii) TX Power

iii) Data rate

iv) The central example connects to a peripheral automatically, but I want to be able to specify the address to be connected to in the central.

Any help with these matters will be great.

Best regards

Have you downloaded the nRF Connect SDK as explained in the technical documentation? Make sure that you're in the nrf folder and not in the Zephyr folder on your end. The full path would be:
...\<YOUR NCS FOLDER>\v2.7.0\nrf\samples\bluetooth\peripheral_lbs

It says the sample code is:- samples/bluetooth/peripheral_lbs

I don't have this directory on my PC.

I am using Visual Studio Code and that doesn't appear as an option either.

Where can I download the samples?

What you're describing here seems very similar to the Peripheral LBS sample available here. I'd recommend referring to that sample to achieve what you're trying to do here. It should be easy to merge with the NUS sample if you also want the UART service in your application.

Best regards,
