Okay, I believe I found my issue.

After adjusting some settings I believe the one that helped was making sure to make sure and check "use flash loader(s)" from the debugger options.

I can confirm that SDK example for IAR works.

I downloaded Keil and was able to get it working in that environment.

It seems like there may be an issue with the IAR project in this SDK example. Well at least there is for me. Is there any way for you to check that? I'll try to compare the project settings to a working one on my end but it would be great to get confirmation from you guys.

I guess it doesn't help you much to say that it seems to work here using both SDKv10 and SDKv11. Make sure you are debugging the correct board, and possible try to run "nrfjprog --family nrf51 --eraseall" from command line. Maybe you can check if you are using the latest of our tools, e.g.: www.nordicsemi.com/.../33444 (nRF5x-Command-Line-Tools-Win32) www.nordicsemi.com/.../48785 (nRF5x-MDK-Keil4)

A quick update. I was able to program the preloaded .hex file that came with the SDK and this seems to be working. That points to an issue with running the source code. Any ideas? I didn't modify anything. Is there something that I have to modify?
