On july 26 at the same hour, about 30 of our cellular modems stopped sending data. They are all using Verizon firmware. The units using Hologram firmware are still working. Some of the Verizons are still working as well. Is there some known issue

RE: Verizon SIMs no longer work after july 26

Update. Verizon last night made them all not work again. So we must update the remaining to Hologram

RE: Verizon SIMs no longer work after july 26

Update: Last night at midnight, Verizon changed their code again and now those units work again. We did not get to all of them to convert to Hologram yet.

RE: Verizon SIMs no longer work after july 26

Does OTA work at all?

RE: Verizon SIMs no longer work after july 26

I am glad to hear that you managed to get it up and running Jeff Tuctronics .

Seems like these devices were physically accessible so you managed to reprogram it otherwise now way to bring them back online since due to offline OTA will not have worked either.

RE: Verizon SIMs no longer work after july 26

We were using Verizon SIM firmware for the Nordic module. Instead, we had to program Hologram SIM firmware into the module to put the modules back into service.

RE: Verizon SIMs no longer work after july 26

We fixed the issue by reprogramming the modules to accept Hologram SIMs. Problem was definitely Verizon code update as response from TCP/IP server client handshake from Verizon is now different. Specific example; the socket number returned is different since July 26. I thank you so much for your response as it got us thinking along the right solution.

RE: Verizon SIMs no longer work after july 26

You should check with Verizon directly.
I hope they not blacklisted the devices or something.
