When I configured the ADC according to the API example, this error occurred. Channels 0 to 4 were OK, but channels 5 to 7 would report an error.

Hi Kc Owen,

This means some relevant definition is missing on the Devicetree or in Kconfig. As other channels work fine, it's unlikely to be Kconfig.

How is the zephyr-user and ADC node defined in your Devicetree?

Also, is this only a warning in code editing? Does the code compile with a pristine build?

I cannot reproduce the issue over here with this lightly modified version of the ADC sample.

Could you please double check the Devicetree configuration to make sure that it is in effect? You will want to check the list of .dts, .dtsi, and .overlay files being compiled, and also the compiled zephyr.dts file.
