For example in Bluetooth: Central UART (nordicsemi.com) sample supported boards, Thingy:53 is not listed, but it is still able to run on the nRF5340 of Thingy:53.

Then when you say that pay attention that the boards are not supported by the samples mentioned, so you may need to do the adaptation. What do you exactly mean here?

Any DK supporting BLE should work, for example nRF5340DK, nRF52840DK. The complicity is up to your application development on firmware.

One more thing I would like to confirm, what according to you would be the best course of action for connecting thingy:52s and thingy:53s simultaneously to a DK and then sending their flip data to cloud.
What DK should be used in this case without making it much complicated? Thanks!

Hi,

You can try to run Thingy53 with Bluetooth: Central UART (nordicsemi.com) and nRF52840 on nRF9160DK with Connectivity bridge (nordicsemi.com) which play as Bluetooth: Peripheral UART (nordicsemi.com) role.

Pay attention that the boards are not supported by the samples mentioned, so you may need to do the adaptation, try to get help if you have problem. Good luck!
