That may explain why this isn't working as you expect it to. As stated under Supported battery types in the nPM1300's PS:

Battery packs connected to the VBAT pin must contain the following protection circuitry:

Overvoltage protection
Undervoltage protection
Overcurrent discharge protection
Thermal fuse to protect from overtemperature (if NTC thermistor is not present)

hi，

What I mean by disconnect is physically disconnecting from the battery, to protect the battery from deep discharge, which can be damaging. In my design, the battery is directly connected to NPM1300 without any additional PCM.

Could you please elaborate a bit on what you mean when you're speaking of a disconnect? And do you know if your battery has some sort of Protection Circuit Module (PCM)?

I conducted a test and found that the battery remained connected to NPM1300 even when the voltage was below the working voltage. After a period of time, check that the battery voltage is gradually decreasing. So do we need additional configurations to enable the function of disconnecting the battery connection?

Another question, if the battery voltage is lower than the working voltage, will NPM1300 still work? If NPM1300 doesn't work, how can it sense changes in voltage?

Yes, the NPM1300 does support disconnecting the battery when the voltage drops below a certain threshold. This feature is designed to protect the battery from deep discharge, which can be damaging. When the battery voltage falls below the minimum working voltage, the device will automatically disconnect the battery to prevent any further drain.
