Have a look at the <a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-latest/page/zephyr/boards/nordic/nrf9160dk/doc/index.html#board_controller_firmware">Board Controller firmware documentation for more information</a>.</span></p> <p><span>In order to communicate with the Serial LTE Modem you can use an external MCU on another DK, i.e. nRF52840 DK.
