&lt;p&gt;Yes, you will have to use the existing peripherals when setting up your I2C instance, so it will be limited to the number of physical I2C&amp;#39; peripherals available&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In general no, there are no ways to define one dynamically, but you can define multiple I2C instances and initialize and de-initialize them when needed.&lt;/p&gt;
