This command actually works!
I found the same issue trying to push another repo to git (completely unrelated with Nordic dev) and realized it would be some computer related setting. Then saw you had already answered with the same.

`git config --global http.postBuffer 104857600`

When I ran the above on terminal and tried to install the SDK again, it worked. Let me know how it goes for you. As to why this works might be due to the large file pull from git. By default my mac's limit is 1 or 2 MB. This sets it to 100 MB. I used GPT to help me.

I'm having the same issue with SDK v2.6.1. I have a Macbook pro M1 on Sonoma 14.6.1. VSCode just gets stuck in this loop.
