When i run the code i get the following error:

I probed the pins driven by the flash and got nothing. So i got back into the datasheet and discovered i picked the 1.95 V version of it by mistake. Since my circuit runs o 3.3V it probably got fried. I will replace the current flash for one rated at 3.6 V. Since it´s the same package and pinout it should work.

Thank you

RE: SPI flash not beign found.

Hi,

How did the CLK and the MISO (ie. the data pin driven by the flash) look like?
If i solder the IC back on the pads it will just stay high all the time.
This sounds like a short - you should double-check your solderings.

Removed the memory IC, changed the code to test every pin changing output state after a few seconds and the soldering is OK.

I tested in two boards, both have the same problem.

Edit:

Probed MOSI pin and there is something.

Set a trigger on the CSN line (from high to low) and reset your board to capture the initial read.

Also check your solderings and other connections in general to see if this might be a soldering issue.

Kind regards,

The only pin that changes when i reset the board is CS, it goes from 0 to arround 3 volts and stays, it´s connected to pin 42.

RE: SPI flash not beign found.

Hi,
<err> spi_nor: Device id 00 00 00 does not match config c2 28 17
The module spi_nor is trying to probe your external flash, and expecting a identifier, but reading all zeros.

This is usually due to either a configuration issue or a hardware issue.

I would recommend that you scope your pins to see if there are any issues in the initial communication.
