Hi Glen,

I am glad to hear you got it working. If using a custom board, it makes sense to make separate board fiels for your board (instead of using DK files with overlays describing the difference). I recomend you take a look at the nRF Connect SDK Intermediate course which covers that.

Regarding configs, if you ask about logger specific configs you can refer to Logging in nRF Connect SDK.

Hi, Einar

I solved the problem by creating a new board overlay and disabling the qspi (not entirely sure why it worked). I also had to change some configs regarding the RTT viewer so that I can do some basic I/O operation with my custom board.

For future reference is there anywhere where I can read on these config settings for tasks like these?

Hi Glen,

From what I can see there sample started successfully, but there was an error communicating with an external flash device. Is the problem that you are buidling for a board with board files that enable the flash but you do not have it on your hardware?

But other than that it seems the sample should be working?

If you are new to nRF Connect SDK I would suggest you start with nRF Connect SDK Fundamentals.
