As mentioned in the datasheet, UARTE can operate up to 1Mhz. Is there any special condition/factor to achieve this?
and how fast can a regular GPIO operate?

Thanks,
As mentioned in the datasheet, UARTE can operate up to 1Mhz. Is there any special condition/factor to achieve this?
That is correct, as also stated in the PS:

https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ps_nrf5340/page/uarte.html

The nRF5340 UARTE can operate up to 1 MBaud. Note that in order to achieve wanted tolerance, you should start the external HFCLK.

If not, it will be sourced from internal HFRC, which is quite inaccurate.
and how fast can a regular GPIO operate?
GPIOs are sourced from the PCLK16M (actual switching freq. will be lower) unless otherwise stated.

As an example, dedicated QSPI or high-speed SPI pins can be sourced from a higher frequency.
