&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#39;s fine to reassign the LED pin if they are needed elsewhere. You will need to follow the instruction &lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ug_nrf5340_dk/page/UG/dk/hw_buttons_leds.html#ariaid-title1"&gt;here &lt;/a&gt;to prepare the dk. You should also delete the led node in your overlay&lt;/p&gt;
