Your &qspi configuration looks good to me. Are there any logs or error messages that indicate where the XIP validation or boot process is failing? I recommend attaching the full log here.

Could this be related to partition alignment or sizing issues? Even though you're using the same flash chip as on the DK, it's important to ensure that the pm_static.yml and memory layout are correctly adapted for your custom board and configuration.

That is the sample we are using, the only change is the &qspi node definition for the mx25l25645g chip.
We have used another application to test that we can read and write to the external flash using that &qspi node definition and that works without any problems.

I apologize for the delay in my response; I was away for the past two days attending some workshops.

Are you working with any of the samples from the SDK, or is this your own custom application? Have you tried the SMP server with the external XIP sample?
