UPDATE:

It was also necessary to disable some peripherals in a overlay file for the MCU Boot to avoid high current (2mA) when FOTA was included.

Update:

I solved the high power consumption when adding MCU Boot by disabling the qspi in the overlay file.

You can place them under app/child_image/mcuboot/boards

The folder structure to build with child_image in v2.5.0 looks like this:

Is there any configuration for the bootloader, example: disable uart (BLE update only), gpio initialization, etc. related to power comsumption during boot?

Are you using a bare BC40M, or are you using the evaluation kit (EV-BC40M)?
