Here:

Flash this file to the nRF9160: devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../Thingy92_5F00_default_5F00_9160.hex

And flash this file to the nRF52devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../Thingy91_5F00_nrf52_5F00_default.hex

Also, it seems that you tried to flash the same hex file to both the nRF52 and nRF91, that would not work. For the 91 you should fo one of the 91 programs

I'm following Getting started with Thingy:91 from the beginning but instead of using the USB and to flash as it says, im using J-Link (since the USB isnt recognized).

After completing the guide, the same issue is still present and im not able to use the USB.

I'm trying to get at it t work as the did before.
this are an overall actions a did:
1. Using J-Link - erased nrf52, while the SWD switch section (SW2) is on nrf52.
2. Using J-Link - erased nrf91, while the SWD switch section (SW2) is on nrf91.
3. Using J-Link - flashed nrf52 with the connectivity bridge, while the SWD switch section (SW2) is on nrf52.
4. Using J-Link - flashed nrf91 with the connectivity bridge, while the SWD switch section (SW2) is on nrf91.
5. Using USB cable - turn on with/without SW3 press, while the SWD switch section (SW2) is on nrf52.
6. Using USB cable - turn on with/without SW3 press, while the SWD switch section (SW4) is on nrf91.

And still nrf connect for desktop Programmer didnt recognized the device (i tried 2 different devices).

If you are trying to update the nRF9160 then that also needs the firmware with the bootloader, so you will need to flash both chips on the thingy91 for it to work like it did before.

Hey Jonathan thanks for the fast response.

I tried it, but still nothing...
I flash the connectivity bridge and it was successful, then i tried to connect with the usb the device was still unrecognized.

You can see in the CONTETS.txt file what is what, but

img_app_bl/thingy91_nrf52_connectivity_bridge_2024-07-04_20471118.hex Connectivity bridge for the nrf52

Should be correct.

the downloaded zip has a lot of hex files

Hello,

you need to flash the device with code that has a bootloader on it so that i can use USB to update the firmware\software. When you erased the 52 you disabled that feature that also lets the 91 communicate with the USB as the 52 handels the pass-through.

Use your J-Link programmer to flash original files and it should work again. https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/Nordic-Thingy-91/Download?lang=en#infotabs you can get the files here.
