No, this UART is only for DTM(Direct Test Mode)

For question 1, there is only the System commands section in the datasheet, chap 24.

As for question 2 I am not able to see this requirement from the datasheet, but I might have missed it. I recommend that you double check the datasheet.

Other then this I cant really provide much more help on this topic, I never worked with this device so have noe experience here. Did dig around a bit but few people have anything fresh in memory here on this the device.

That'll be great ! Yes I am using the same ble-sdk-arduino repo, nothing much was changed in it. The ACI part remains the same in my code only added the STM HAL code to perform the SPI and stuff.

Will look a bit in to this, but cant promise much.

We do have this https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/ble-sdk-arduino , and I will ask internally if there is anyone that have ideas on this that worked with it back in the day.

We are aware that the nRF8001 is discontinued and NRND. This is a legacy design and we are NOT trying to mass produce this version. We are debugging a critical issue on the board that we have made.

Can you provide us help for our legacy products given this info?

The nRF800X series is discontinued so the help we can provide might be limited.

But first if this is planed to be used as a product? If so then have a look at this link : https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nordic-blog/b/blog/posts/what-impact-does-the-deprecation-and-withdrawal-of-bluetooth-core-specification-v4-0-and-v4-1-have-on-your-current-and-future-products

So If you are developing or are planning to develop a product with nRF8001 or nRF8002 you have three options: qualify your product before 01.02.2022, switch to the nRF51 Series (SoftDevice S130) or switch to the nRF52 Series or later, so as you can no longer qualify this with Bluetooth SIG.
