I have tested this in NCS v2.6.0 by building the sample for nrf5340dk_nrf5340_cpuapp and could not reproduce your problem. You could try to use the same versions of the SDK and Toolchain.<br /><br />Project configuration file prj.conf has only one line CONFIG_GPIO=y in unmodified sample.
