I bought a new USB keyboard and since i can't detect anymore Nordic Devboard as nRF5380. No device detected on Visual Studio Code, and on nRFProgrammer neither.
I have in the logs that message error: "nrfutil-device.exe failed with unexpected

RE: New USB keyboard generates "No device detected" problem

Here are a few things that could help us get further insigth. I put ones I found most relevant/lowest hanging fruit at the top.
i try with other hardware configurations: keyboard on computer USB directly or per the USB hub.
Did you try the opposite, connecting the DK directly to the computer and the keyboard to the hub?

Have you tried connecting both devices without the hub?

Could you try reinstalling J-Link or upgrading or downgrading J-Link.

Could you try connecting both devices to a different computer? This will help you determine if the issue is isolated to your current system or if it's a broader compatibility issue with the devices themselves.

Check for USB Power Issues: Ensure that the USB ports you’re using can supply enough power for both the keyboard and the nRF5340 Devboard. Sometimes, even if a hub is powered, it might not distribute power evenly.

In Device Mangager, do you see any changes under Universal Serial Bus controllers after plugging in or unplugging the DK?

Which nRF5340 DK version are you using?

Have you set the nRF Power Source switch (marked in blue) to 'VDD'?

Would you be able to upload an image of the DK, with the jumper settings and positions of the switches visible?

Which keyboard model this is?

I checked for all these cases. It looks to have no problem in Device Manager, i try with other hardware configurations: keyboard on computer USB directly or per the USB hub. No changes. nRF Connest is up to date.

If i have the twice devices connected together: impossible to detect the nRF5340 devboard in VS code or nRF Connect desktop.

Thanks.

RE: New USB keyboard generates "No device detected" problem

Hello Launix,

Are you using a hub? Does it deliver enough power to both devices? Try plugging the DK into a different USB root hub. Use a powered hub.

Have you tried other combinations of USB-ports and cables?

Could you check Device Manager to see what is visible when both units are plugged in? Any conflicts?

Try updating the drivers for the keyboard. Also ensure you have the latest nRF Connect for Desktop and apps.

Does any of this help?
