I'm using a nRF5340 to generate an 8MHz signal and would like to force the HFXO to always be used as the HFINT is not accurate enough. I have verified this with some simple code:
In the complete application the cpunet should be running

RE: enable hfclock on nRF53

Thanks Vidar!
Helpful as always!

I recommend using the 'onoff' to request HFXO. This ensures that the clock cannot be released again by other SDK modules such as MPSL. There is an example of how you can use the API here: https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/blob/2adae75be0325db516bbee87634d1f16eb3f8396/samples/peripheral/radio_test/src/main.c#L17

Best regards,
