&lt;p&gt;That&amp;#39;s just because you have not installed the &amp;quot;device&amp;quot; command.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will need to first: &lt;em&gt;nrfutil install device&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then if you type: &lt;em&gt;nrfutil list&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;you should be able to see device listed there.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then you can try the: &lt;em&gt;nrfutil device recover&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
