I bought a NRF52840 USB Dongle for evaluation purpose (bigger project in mind).
I cannot even run the demo from NRF Connect (like BLE or RSSI viewer)!
On my PC I have the following error which has no solution ( )
So I tried on my laptop

RE: Not possible to do anything with my nrf52840 USB dongle

Hello,

For various reasons I recommend to get yourself an nRF52840-DK, for instance the ability to debug your project and have access to all gpios etc.

When using the nRF52840 USB dongle you may find this useful: nRF52840 Dongle Programming Tutorial For instance it describes how you can program the nRF52840 USB dongle in the "Program application using nRF Connect Programmer" chapter.

As to your current problem:
I say yes but then there is an error in the log: "failed to write to the targeted device.... serial port cannot be opened" and the application is stuck.
What I have seen in the past, is that even if it says fails, you may try to plug out and in the dongle again, to check if it may actually have been programmed.
