Yes I just verified that with a new example and it works.

Good Job identifying the issue and for updating the devAcademy intermediate course lesson 3.

I hope that the bootloaders lesson 8 will be out soon because it is very important :)

Yeah, I understand that you have provided the information before. But I suggested you upgrade the following extensions

nRF Connect for VS Code 2024.12.55
nRF DeviceTree 2024.12.15
nRF Kconfig 2024.12.13
nRF Terminal 2024.9.14

We have some upgradation for NCS version 2.7 to 2.8. Adding custom board chapter also works for NCS version 2.7 and 2.8 for hardware model v2.

They are already in the latest version... Please check the beginning of this post....

The steps are exactly the same with the course.

I cannot give any more time on this issue if you don't have something new regarding that. It is pointless to do the same process again and again... it has been 2 months now...I will try to find a workaround

Could you please share some me the following information?

1.Which NCS version you are using?

2. Can you share the steps leading up to the issue from the Dev academy page?

2. Can you update to the latest version of the extensions? For example:

nRF Connect for VS Code 2024.12.55
nRF DeviceTree 2024.12.15
nRF Kconfig 2024.12.13
nRF Terminal 2024.9.14
Share the steps leading up to the issue from the Dev Academy page

We also need to look at the Generate system report when issue occurs; you can do this from here

When should I expect a reliable stable version???

Tell me again why developers should move to nRF Connect SDK with zephyr in VSCode?
Is it because
a) it is stable?
b) it is easy to migrate from bare metal nRF5 SDK?
c) it has Short development time?

Because I have not seen any of those things so far.

You are supposed to make it easier for developers that already have to struggle with prototypes custom boards etc...

Issues on your software tools should be identified first by your testers team... not wait for it from the end users...

Bottom line you have great hardware, good job!

Your VSCode development tools...not even close...

As I said before if it is not ready, please, don't recommend it for new designs.

You are correct. It is related to VS code extension version. There will be fixed in next release. Similar issue (+) Nordic DevZone.

It seems that it is a version issue... that also exists in version 2.8.0. By enabling the checkmarks does not enable the PIns in the .dts file . I tested it in both versions. For some reason they are not linked in the Devicetree Visual editor. I have downloaded all latest versions.

I have tried this here on my system. It looks ok. I am not sure why there is no pin. Did you follow the steps mentioned in the course documentation? How the board files look like?

The intermidate course doesn't yet support v2.7.0 or above as outlined here: https://academy.nordicsemi.com/courses/nrf-connect-sdk-intermediate/.
