&lt;p&gt;This is due to errata 55 (&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/errata_nRF5340_Rev1/page/ERR/nRF5340/Rev1/latest/anomaly_340_55.html#anomaly_340_55"&gt;[55] RESET: Bits in RESETREAS are set when they should not be&lt;/a&gt;) and the corresponding workaround implemented in the startup code.&lt;/p&gt;
