It works exactly the same on 2.7.0, just tested it.

You also have to add

CONFIG_HW_ID_LIBRARY=y

to your prj.conf file

I don't yet see NCS 2.8.0, sounds like this is resolved going forward without any workaround.

Hello Greg,

When using the hwinfo_get_device_id() function from Zephyr with nRF9151 our implementation grabs the ID from FICR (tested on NCS 2.8.0).

Thanks, I have now learned about checking for -ENOSYS.

As a workaround I should be able to use the value from FICR directly, does this seem correct?

I have now tested that.

I got back -ENOSYS (-88), so it is not implemented currently for this device.
