The nRF5 SDK use a secure DFU protocol that was developed together with the nRF5 SDK. This is fundamentally different from the Mcu Manager protocol that is used in the nRF Connect SDK. It is possible to make an app that support both (like our nRF Connect for Mobile) though, and we provide libraries for both. I assume you are familiar with the libraries for the nRF5 SDK (IOS-DFU-Library and Android-DFU-Library) and that this is what you are currently using in your application. If you want to support the nRF Connect SDK DFU, you need to incldue the libraries included in and demonstrated by IOS-nRF-Connect-Device-Manager and Android-nRF-Connect-Device-Manager.
