SoftDevice S110 8.0, S120 2.1, or S130 1.0, (I test various examples so I change SoftDevices)
iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 9.2.1), and Nexus 5 (Android 6.0.1).
At this question,
Petter Myhre answered that "SoftDevice S130 1.0.0 is

RE: BLE 4.2 and Smart phones' OS Compatibility

yeah, that's right.

RE: BLE 4.2 and Smart phones' OS Compatibility

Okay, but what about the smart phones' OS?

Since 4.2 is backwards compatible, the OS version is not that big issue?

RE: BLE 4.2 and Smart phones' OS Compatibility

Basically Bluetooth 4.2 is simply an extension of Bluetooth 4.0 and 4.1. It incorporates mainly some supplements and addendum's to the 4.1 spec along with a few new functions. I guess what I'm trying to communicate is that it's backwards compatible, so 4.0 and 4.2 devices can interact.
