I did a quick check on the copy element and it looks like this snippet uses a data-code attribute and   for a space:

while others use an actual space inside data-code:

So maybe an HTML encoding thing. That might be why it works differently. Can't dig in more as I'm on a deadline, but hope this helps.

I'm running WIndows 11, with the latest Chrome browser (as of today - and I re-checked the behavior) - 131.0.6778.109 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I did check other snippets I pulled via the Copy btn and they didn't have this outcome.

In the hex code from this snippet, all spaces were 0xA0:
