I am trying to develop a small Zigbee device that has two endpoints, each with a Temperature Measurement Cluster. My starting point was https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-2.8.0/page/nrf/protocols/zigbee/adding_clusters.html . I worked through

RE: Trying to report temperature Measurment every 1 second using zb_zcl_put_reporting_info. I can adjust the reporting configuration for each endpoint, so I can move forward!

I don't fully understand the issue, but using a single ZBOSS_DEVICE_DECLARE_REPORTING_CTX calls seems to have don the trick!

RE: Trying to report temperature Measurment every 1 second using zb_zcl_put_reporting_info.
(+) Zigbee reporting not work while using multiple endpoints - Nordic Q&A - Nordic DevZone - Nordic DevZone

I can get one temperature measurement cluster reporting every 5 seconds, but commands I send to the second endpoint's cluster fail. I am using the ZHA Toolkit in Home Assistant to send the Reporting configuration.

My understanding of the issue is must better. My problem remains the use of duplicate clusters.

I have tried all of the options in the above ticket, but nothing seems to work.

RE: Trying to report temperature Measurment every 1 second using zb_zcl_put_reporting_info.
I'm using Home Assistant as the Coordinator.

The temperature reading only refreshes every 30 seconds, which I believe is the default.

I wish to modify this to be 5 seconds, by default or even push when it changes.

RE: Trying to report temperature Measurment every 1 second using zb_zcl_put_reporting_info.

I always find that checking out a sample is a good way to refer to how something should be done. For Attribute Reporting I guess the Zigbee Light switch and Light Bulb samples could be good choice.

Regarding the issue, this could for instance be caused by binding not being set up. You could do this with a zigbee shell, but finding and binding is another option. This documentation page on general commissioning might be interesting to you, but have a look at the section on finding and binding. Are you doing this, or something else for binding in your project?

If that is something you're already doing then maybe some additional logging might be an idea, to get some more info on the problem.

Regards,

Elfving
