Hi, any update from Nordic support? I've just tried testing again the NCS Locator Tag sample built using SDK v2.9.0 but I'm running in the same error when trying to connect to the Tag, saying "Connection problem - Check internet and Bluetooth and use Find My Device". Retrying does not give better results.

Which SDK version are you using? It looks like LED indication for the fast pair adv. state got added in SDK v2.8.0.

Thanks Vidar, I will look into the phone and Google side of things. But before I even get that far I still have the problem that the development kit does not appear to be behaving the same way as the documentation describes. Is the documentation wrong or is the board misbehaving?

Hi, I'm having the same issue with the only difference that I'm working with the nRF52832 DK.
Can you please confirm that in order to have the Google account enabled for testing of the FMDN feature the only thing to do is to completing Google’s device proposal form? Do you have any idea of how much time this approval process usually requires?
I understand you have no control on Google internal approving processes, I'm just asking if you have any feedback on this by Nordic customers.

Have you also gotten your google account enabled for testing of the FMDN feature: https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-latest/page/nrf/samples/bluetooth/fast_pair/locator_tag/README.html#testing ?

You also need to enable support for debug mode IDs on the phone:

https://developers.google.com/nearby/fast-pair/fast-pair-certification-guideline#14_enable_debug_mode_id
