You can try building with overlay-coap_nrf_provisioning.conf included in the build. At least after adding this, they certificates are actually written to the device. Still there are some error messages, but they can maybe just be ignored.

I see the same behavior when testing with with ncs 2.7.0. I will do some more testing tomorrow.

The sample does not do that on its own even when we enable CONFIG_NRF_CLOUD_PROVISION_CERTIFICATES ?!

Hello,

when writing certificates to the modem, you need to make sure the modem is turned off first.
