When I bring up Wireshark connect options, it shows dashes in the promiscuous column, which I cannot change. I am running: <pre> npcap 1.80 JLink V7.94i nrfutil 7.13.0 Wireshark

RE: Can't get to promiscuous mode with dongle

I have an 8bitdo Pro 2 connected to my PC in "X" mode. What I am trying to do is get bluetooth going on my Raspberry PI Pico W to control a car. So, I want to sniff the interface, identify the buttons, and duplicate on my Raspberry Pi Pico. The Pico is too underpowered for Linux, so I am having to do this myself.

I will go through the .pdf, to make sure I haven't missed anything.
What is this gamepad you're trying to sniff the connection of exactly?

If it's a gamepad that has an existing encrypted connection it will be hard to sniff that, as you'll need the LTK or pairing/bonding passkey to sniff in on an already encrypted connection. If you have access to the pairing process itself you should be able sniff it though, but please share some more information on what you're trying to do here.

Some more info on common sniffing actions can be found in the nRF Sniffer for BLE user guide here: https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/nrfutil_ble_sniffer_pdf/resource/nRF_Sniffer_BLE_UG_v4.0.0.pdf

Best regards,
