I am using the nRF connect SDK and my build is nrf9160dk_nrf9160_ns.
Would that be cryptocell or something else? If it's cryptocell or another approach what would be the configuration in prj.conf?

What version of the nRF Connect SDK are you working with?
How do I use hardware crypto on a nRF9160dk?
What hardware crypto are you reffering to? I am not very familiar, but depending on the communication method it should be possible.
I am using wolfssl as a crypto library, which supports cryptocell and I have tried a few settings (e.g. #define WOLFSSL_CRYPTOCELL) but getting compile errors.
I am not familiar with WOLFSSL. Please refer to the supported crypto library in our nRF Connect SDK, i.e. https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-2.8.0/page/nrfxlib/crypto/doc/nrf_cc3xx_platform.html
