Hi,

For potential changes, please refer to the Release notes and Migration guides for each version.

Since there are multiple versions between NCS 2.6.2 and 2.9.0, I recommend starting with a sample project in NCS 2.9.0 and gradually adding your application logic.

This approach is likely to be easier than modifying your existing NCS 2.6.2-based project directly.

Can our existing application(which developed using v2.6.2) work directly with SDK v2.9.0, or are major changes required?
Any important API, Kconfig, or DeviceTree updates we should check?
Are there Wi-Fi-specific improvements in config in 2.9.0 that might help?

Yes, I believe so. There have been several stability improvements and bug fixes since NCS 2.6.0.

The RPU unresponsiveness could be caused by multiple factors, such as soft lockup or failures during disconnection and so on. Below are some potentially related fixes:

We are using version 2.6.2.
In version 2.9.0 is thses issue related thinks is resovled.

We need more information to analyze the failure cuase.

Can you share the information about which NCS version are you using? Could you repeat this issue with latest NCS 2.9.0 sample + nRF7002DK?

I suggest you refer to the nRF7002DK for the hareware design. You can also reqeust free HW review for your schematic and PCB layout. Just generate a private ticket for this kind of request.

Yes, it would be better if you can repeate the issue with offical NCS 2.9.0 sample + nRF7002DK. Debugging provides specific guidance to get more debuging informaiton.
