I can only run this command from the D:\nRF5340_AudioDK\Exploration_linux\bap_broadcast_source\ directory.

I can try to do that, but can you first try to start menuconfig by running "west build -t menuconfig" from the hci_ipc directory which is inside the build folder? Does this make any difference in your case?

Yes I have and I just did it again to check another time but I'm still left with an error.

I do think my issue comes from this part :

The automatic save configuration is for the .config file in the build/bap_broadcast_source/zephyr folder.

In previous answers, you told me about saving the configuration for the hci_ipc image :

For step 3 I simply put the command in the termnial,

devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../1462.log.txt

then I arrive on the configuration menu:

I got in Subsystems and OS Services :

Then Bluetooth :

Then I go down to Bluetooth controller which I enable :

Then for step 4 I go to Tx Power and change the value :

For step 5, I save the file in the hci_ipc image :

Hi Dejans,

Here are the steps I've done so far :

select the bap_broadcast_source sample from NCS v2.8.0
build this sample for nRF5340_audio_dk
used west build -t menuconfig
change the value of TX power to -12
saved using Maj+S and modify the path to save it in the hci_ipc image
build (not pristine) the application

devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../error_5F00_logs.txt

Hi Axelle,

Try to start from unmodified sample and then only change Tx power using menuconfig and build. Does the sample build successfully for you?
In our testing, there were no build errors if Tx power was the only change. Did you make any other changes to the sample?

I am interested in failing log.
Is the error reproducible on your side? If the error you get is reproducible, please provide all steps that are necessary to reproduce the issue, and I can try to replicate it.

Hello Dejans,

I can build it without modifications and even when I change the name of the broadcast or add a password to it. The only modiication I've tried that hasn't work is to force the TX_PWR to -20 dB.

Hi Axelle,

We have tested bap_broadcast_source sample in NCS v2.8.0 using nrf5340_audio-dk board. When you successfully build the application. you should have 2 separate images inside build folder. The power change should be done for the image called hci_ipc. The change you make is applied to .config file for hci_ipc image. You need to ensure that you are starting menuconfig for particular image you want, in your case for hci_ipc. After rebuilding (not pristine) your application, you should see the change in the .config file for that image as shown below. We could not replicate the issue when rebuilding failed.

I use this command : west build -t menuconfig to get in the configuration menu, then I travel to Subsystems and OS Services/Bluetooth/Bluetooth Controller/Tx Power :
