Here and there Nordic says that when using MCUboot, the partition manager is used instead of device tree for partitions. Even nRF Connect extension for VS Code says that.

&lt;p&gt;The short answer is that it needs the DT partitioning due to sysbuild, but ignores it since MCUboot needs the partition manager partitioning, i.e you need both.&lt;/p&gt;
