When using wifi_radio_test and subcommands for FCC certification testing, what is the bit pattern or sequence that is used? Is it a PRBS9 pattern?
Thank you.

RE: nRF7002 Wi-Fi Radio Test Bit Pattern

Hi Ryan

It is not possible to modify the payload yourself as this is embedded in firmware. Why exactly do you need this? Is if for some specific testing or validation or are you expecting this to be a feature in upcoming releases?

Best regards,

I got a confirmation from the devs today on this, and we don't use PRBS9. We use Wi-Fi packet with valid mac header with a fixed pattern in payload ( 0xab) in radio test.

Beyond the modulation scheme and rate, we are interested in what the bit pattern itself is that is being modulated and transmitted. E.g. if we transmit using MCS0, what data pattern is the wifi_radio_test sending? Is it alternating 0s and 1s? Is it a pseudo-random bit sequence, etc.?

Thank you.

RE: nRF7002 Wi-Fi Radio Test Bit Pattern

Hi

It seems like most commands runs a OFDM TX traffic sequence, but it's highly configurable. https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-latest/page/nrf/samples/wifi/radio_test/sample_description.html
