I have a BLE device with the nRF Desktop application, and I want to turn off my device if it is not used, even if it is connected to my PC. I set my CONFIG_CAF_POWER_MANAGER_TIMEOUT=2 so it goes to STATE_SUSPENDED after 2 seconds and should remain

RE: How to turn off BLE Device if it is connected?

Yes. System off doesn't really work when the device is running a debug session, which would be the case if you attach the RTT Viewer.

I tried that sample. sys_poweroff() does work. However, I had to remove my debugger and close RTT Viewer; otherwise, my device restarts every time sys_poweroff() is called.

I am using NCS 2.6.1. Sorry, I meant CONFIG_CAF_POWER_MANAGER_TIMEOUT. Thank you for your advice. I will check this sample.

What NCS version are you using? I can't find any references to CONFIG_POWER_MANAGER_TIMEOUT.

I suggest that you check out the sample found in:

NCS\zephyr\samples\boards\nordic\system_off

This is a simple sample that just logs something using the uart console, and then enters system off.

Best regards,
