I'm new to fuel gauging and battery profiling and am trying to understand the process and the parameters used.
Is there a description of how a battery model is created? What is the discharge sequence used in the profiling process and why was that

RE: Fuel Gauge Battery Profiling Configuration

Thanks for the reply.

I have a feature request for the PMIC team. On the nPM PowerUP Dashboard it would be nice to have a panel for the Fuel Gauge Constant Current Load. This would enable the load and set a static sink value and a dropout voltage. This would only be active when not in charging or profiling modes. Enabling the load from this panel should also change the Graph display to show the load current rather than the charging current.

RE: Fuel Gauge Battery Profiling Configuration

Update:
Is there a description of how a battery model is created? What is the discharge sequence used in the profiling process and why was that specific sequence chosen? Is there documentation on the battery parameters in the model file?
This is a part of our IP and is intentionally not described.
Is there a way to change the discharge configuration in the app?

I was also hoping to use the setup to characterize the battery discharge performance under different loads. If the discharge sequence is not configurable in the app, is there an API or description of how to program the load current DAC on the nPM Fuel Gauge Board.
As I understand it there is no option in the app for it. The way the application is configured covers the best way for most applications and opening for multiple configuration will make it harder for customers to use it correctly. However if this do not cover your application there is the possibility to contact your regional sales manager and discussing for Nordic to do it. We have the possibility to do profiling with a specific load profile if we have your battery.

Regards
