I am attempting to connect to a Wi-Fi network using Exercise 2 from Lesson 2 of the Wi-Fi training in Nordic Academy. However, when I try to connect to the network, I encounter a -134 error while executing the following function:

I hit the same issue as you did (-134 / ENOTSUP), and did some debugging to determine that it is due to the the nRF9151 defaulting to using the modem lib socket implementation. You can get the the Thingy:91 X working station mode with the nRF9151 as host by setting CONFIG_NRF_MODEM_LIB=n. I have added support in the wifi/sta example here: github.com/.../20303

RE: ENOTSUP when trying to connect to wifi using T91X

Hi Youssef,
Yes the scan sample works very well, but how can i connect my thingy91x/nrf9151/ns or thingy91x/nrf5340/cpuapp to Wi-Fi?

Unfortunately, I cannot purchase the nRF7002-DK, as I’m currently working on a project using the Thingy91 with LTE-M as the protocol to send data to the cloud. Now, I want to transition to the Thingy91x and add Wi-Fi as a protocol alongside LTE-M.
nRF91-series does not have enough RAM available to do other functions than wifi scanning.

nRF5340 has enough RAM and flash to do more advanced functions such as wifi STA and/or SoftAP, but the thingy91x board in general is only intended to show wifi scanning for location purposes, so there is not much support for the board itself in NCS. I see that you have a on-going thread with a colleague of mine to get wifi/shell up and running, so I suggest you follow up with any issues in that case.

nRF91-series devices isn't directly supported for RAM hungry features like STA/AP mode. I would recommend that you obtain a nRF7002-DK to test all features.

Could you try the scan sample and see if that works?

Note the added CMAKE arguments here:
