&lt;p&gt;It is possible to change the TX gain either through &lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ps_nrf21540/page/chapters/spi/doc/frontpage.html"&gt;SPI&lt;/a&gt; or the &lt;a href="https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ps_nrf21540/page/chapters/device_control/doc/tx_power_control.html"&gt;MODE pin&lt;/a&gt;. The RX gain is fixed at +13 dB.&lt;/p&gt;
