Don!!!! Hey! How are you? I didn't notice it was you responding. I did switch it over to USB. Took a while for me to find it, but I did. I ordered the chargers and the batteries too and will test them out. It would be good to have YouTube session on it. I know it seems simple, but it would be good to have all end to end. From the DK to the battery to the charger to the Bluetooth battery level service.

I am not sure what battery or connector you have. I ordered some preassembled cable connectors and then changed the connector accordingly. I think a little bit of soldering would be the route I chose.

If you tried to power on the nRF5340DK with the LiPo battery make sure you change the switch on the board.

Ok. I have a battery as it turns out. I will order the charger for it.

Connector is too big for the J6. Looking at this post it seems like I need a SM02B-SRSS-TB(LF)(SN). All the batteries I have seem to have a bigger connector. Is there some sort of converter or can I get a battery with the right connection for the nRF5340 Development Kit J6 slot?

I found another one with a smaller connector which fits the DK. Not turning on so I assume I need to charge the battery.

Leo,

There is no charging circuit on the nRF5340DK. I would not advise it.

In addition to using the tinycircuit battery you could also solder in a two pin single row header with 0.1" spacing and connect a battery source on P27. Adafruit has several options for LiPo's as well as chargers.

Ok. Thank you. Can I charge it using the DK itself if I plug the USB in to my computer?

Hello Leo,

The battery that works is from TinyCircuits. I got mine from Mouser or you can buy them from their website directly.

Mouser has a decent stock of batteries with different capacities.

The connector needs to be the JST SH. There are two different pin spacings. This is the correct one for the DK.
