I mean when I try to enable external xtal by

NRF_CLOCK->TASKS_HFCLKSTART=1;

but

while (NRF_CLOCK->EVENTS_HFCLKSTARTED == 0); //

cannot run out of this.

the xtal signal is like:

the voltage range from 0.3v to 0.7v

would it be ok?
would you please show the signal in DK? I cannot get the xtal signal from DK.

I can not determine if the crystal is functioning based on that plot.

I was not able to access the URL that you shared earlier, can you upload the datasheet of the crystal and the full part number of the crystal that you are using?

this is the wave from xtal . you can see the peak to peak value is 0.4v

I donnot know where this is ok. but the nrf52833 would always use internal xo.

unfortunately, I cannot get the wave from nrf52833 DK.

would you please tell me where the amplitude is ok. and is it necessary to improve the wave amplitude?

I have another board with tcxo (use xc1 ), the peak to peak value is 0.8v. the nrf52833 would always use internal xo too.

and what requirement is need to enable the external xtal for nrf52833. thanks.
