With a PCB antenna you need to test/tune and re-spin the board.   Chip Antenna&amp;#39;s are very sensitive in how they are applied and tuned. In my particular case (which I understand is not very common) I don&amp;#39;t mind using that extra size.
I am worried about losing RF range, power, omnidirectional emission, etc.
Will it be harder to tune the antena matching circuit?
In my application (RC drone), omnidirectional efficiency is very important, because I want to have very similar RF range, no matter how the drone is rotated in every axis...  so do you think the wire is better or worse than chip or pcb antenas for these matters?

You are basically creating your own stubby antenna, without the casing.&lt;/p&gt;
