The Direct Test Mode example can be used, but also the radio test example can be used for regulatory testing. Some pointers in this case:

I think what you want is docs.nordicsemi.com/.../README.html. Then you can test to send various patterns on various channels. When you are done with testing, reflash your device with your normal firmware.
