Thanks for your help. I wasn't able to find a second reference to the nrf_sniffer_ble.py script.

I resolved the issue by removing the contents of the AppData\Roaming\Wireshark\extcap folder. Then recopied the contents from nrf_sniffer_for_bluetooth_le_4.1.1\extcap

One thing to note: I ran into this issue invalid escape sequence \s - Nordic Q&A - Nordic DevZone - Nordic DevZone And I don't recall having that issue when I first installed the sniffing package.

Hello,

Could you check the folder AppData\Roaming\Wireshark\extcap for any duplicate references to nrf_sniffer_ble.py? If you find any, please remove one and see if that resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, I recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling the nRF Sniffer plugin.

Thanks for the great tip. Unfortunately, I was only able to locate one copy of the plugin. I checked both the global and personal plugins listed under "About Wireshark -> Folders". No luck.

I guess you have two copies of the plugin. Probably in the same directory. I am not using Windows myself but you can find the directories for Wireshark plugins here:

https://www.wireshark.org/docs/wsug_html_chunked/ChPluginFolders.html

Use your File Explorer and remove one of your two copies of the plugin (if you find it).
