It sounds like your Power Profiler Kit 2 (PPK2) is not being recognized by nRF Connect on Ubuntu. Since the LED is blinking green, it suggests the hardware is powered but not detected properly.

The solution was - both cables have no data lines, please use proper usb cable...

I managed to bring ppk2 in bootloader mode (blinking red), but it didn't appear anyways
