Yes, you can ask for a replacement for this from your supplier, from whom you obtained the DK from.

Hi Chris,

It does look like there is an issue with the Debug chip on this DK. I will consult with the team on what we can do regarding the same. In the meantime, could you attach what you see when you try:

nrfjprog --ids

and also when you try:

nrfjprog --deviceversion

Hi Chris,

Is it possible to attach a screenshot of what you see in the Programmer app when you select your device?

Also, do you have any logs from the Programmer app?

I tried updating the firmware and the app crashed

Could you attach what you see in the output tab?

Also, could you try to open the Programmer app and select your Device? If prompted to update firmware, please do this.

Hi Chris,

Is your board being detected by the PC?

What about when you try the Programmer app?

Also, since the board shows up in the connected devices section, were you able to flash some basic sample onto it? Do you get errors?
