Hi Toni,

the power switch drawing is the right one. The PCA10056 is the board ID for the nrf52840 development board. I think all three of your questions regarding which you should refer to is correct.

Do you have the equipment available to remove the broken switch and short he connections?

You'll find it under the "Download" section on the page here: https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/nRF52840-DK/Download?lang=en#infotabs

You can have a look at the HW files as you can remove the switch and permanently have it ON if that it ok with you by making the connections under the switch with a small wire and solder. You can power the kit through the "External supply" pins between the white J6 and the USB connector as well.
