I seem to have obtained access with nrfjprog --recover. I also suspect that debug steps were confused by multiple jlink installations not playing well together. The only way I've re-entered the failure scenario is by trying to switch between installations for jlink.

I'm flashing with west. I've tried `west flash --recover` and then re flashing and get the same pop up.

How are programming the device? west , nrfutil ?

Try calling nrfutil device recover, before programming

Is there a config value that can be used to disable approtect? I seem to have to go through the erase step every time I flash

Try flashing the firmware again, and connect with RTT viewer again.

Connection to the device now happens consistently, thanks! However, I get a prompt now about the device being secured and that internal flash needs to be erased.

Additionally, no logs are received regardless of the selected log level. Is there some other misconfiguration?

Using JLink_V816, selected NRF9160_XXAA, just get a pop up screen that says "Could not connect to target"

Do you get any error? or just not any output?

What J-link version are you using? did you select nRF9151_XXCA when connecting with RTT viewer?

With log level 4, I've set the CONFIG_SEGGER_RTT_BUFFER_SIZE_UP all the way up to 16KB w/o any change to logs actually output. Still looks like this

Thanks Sigurd, that may indeed help with the dropped logs. I'll try it and report back.

However, my main concern is inability to even connect to the target when log levels are not configured just so. Do you have any leads for me on that front?
